HENLY, Texas — The APD bomb squad was called to Henly on Friday to evaluate a suspicious package, according to the Hays County Sheriff's Office.

HCSO says that deputies received a call about a suspicious package in the 7000 block of Creek Road in Henly at around 12:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Authorities called the Austin Police Department's bomb squad to evaluate the item out of an abundance of caution, due to the packaging and appearance of the item.
Deputies closed the road at around 2 p.m. to allow APD to inspect the item.

Police determined that the package was not explosive, and the road was reopened.
No injuries were reported, and no one is in custody at this time.
