Pizza Rosa, a busy Gaithersburg slice spot, announced it will be closing its brick-and-mortar shop after service on Saturday, June 28 — but the ovens aren’t going cold forever.
“Well folks, after some incredible years serving our amazing community, we will be closing our pizza shop after service on June 28th,” the team said in a social media post shared with the community.
“This wasn’t an easy decision, but it comes with deep gratitude for every single one of you who walked through our doors, shared a slice, and became a part of our extended food family.”
The goodbye comes with a silver (pizza) lining: Pizza Rosa will continue serving its fan-favorite frozen pizzas through its sister company, Open Hand Pasta, and at local farmers markets around the area.
The team also encouraged customers to swing by before the doors close to share one more memory — and one more slice.
“From birthday parties, to first dates to last bites — thank you for the memories!” the owners wrote. “Come visit us before we close so we can say goodbye the way we know best — with great pizza and warm hearts.”
