First Alert Forecast: Summer-like temperatures for next few days
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Temperatures will cool off quickly overnight, falling through the 60s and 50s, settling in the mid-to-low 40s by Monday morning. So, we’ve got a chilly start to the first day of the work week.
YOUR NEXT FIRST ALERT
Warmer, more humid air will start to shift our way. High temperatures on Monday will climb into the low 80s, topping out in the mid 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday. Fortunately, the feels like temperature won’t be too different from the actual air temperature during these warmer days. Both Monday and Tuesday will feature plenty of sunshine too, but possibly partly obscured by the wildfire smoke.
The heat is short-lived. A weather system will move in on Wednesday, bringing us rain showers, and a few thunderstorms, from Wednesday afternoon through about Friday afternoon. At the time, severe weather is not expected.
