PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Valley of the Sun will soon be home to a coffee giant. Dutch Bros is reportedly moving its headquarters from Oregon to Phoenix. Officials confirmed the decision to our sister station in Portland.

According to a statement from the company, the headquarters move will help with its national growth. “To support the next phase of Dutch Bros’ growth, we’re relocating additional roles to our new Phoenix office and making strategic changes to the structure of several teams,” the company said. “With these changes, the Phoenix office will become our official HQ.”

The change comes after Christine Barone, an Arizona native, assumed the role of president and CEO of Dutch Bros Coffee in January 2024. She had reportedly said previously that the company would spend millions to move a big portion of employees to the Valley.

The popular coffee chain started with just a pushcart in Grants Pass, Oregon, in 1992. The company sells energy drinks, coffee and other beverages in drive-thrus that have upbeat, friendly workers. It’s also known for its philanthropy, including the “Drink One For Dane” fundraiser, which raises money and awareness for ALS, a disease that took the life of Dane Boersma, one of the cofounders of Dutch Bros.

Dutch Bros has grown rapidly in the U.S., and the company opened its 1,000th drive-thru in March.

Arizona has nearly 90 locations. Dutch Bros officials didn’t specify where in Phoenix the headquarters would be.
