"Like, holy hell. I know this movie gets some flack for its third act - which is a fair criticism - but oh my god, this cast. Cillian Murphy, Chris Evans, Rose Byrne, Michelle Yeoh, Cliff Curtis, Hiroyuki Sanada, Benedict Wong, and Mark Strong. The only actor I wasn't quite familiar with was Troy Garity.

"Nobody is exactly a breakout star; everyone had pretty much established themselves in their careers, even if their best work was still yet to come. But still - these are all great actors. I was reading how Danny Boyle wanted the cast to live together for some time before shooting, to give the sense that they had been confined in close quarters for a while - and it works so well."

Another fan said, "I love this film. It's truly great Sci-Fi as opposed to the 'space opera' that usually passes as SciFi." One more wrote, "Amazing movie that doesn't get talked about often enough. You're right, the cast is epic."

Someone else commented, "It's one of my favorite casts of all time. They had such good chemistry with each other. It's was grounded, believable and it really made the emotional moments hit even harder." One added, "That soundtrack lives rent-free in my head."

In a separate Reddit discussion, someone wrote, "This movie had such an amazing cast, and was absolutely gorgeous. Also, on a good home theater the sound design will knock things off your walls. I know the back third of the film has its issues for sure, but I absolutely loved the concept and mood of the film."

Sunshine, which was directed by Danny Boyle, has a rating of 76 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics praising its visuals and the team of international actors. Joe Lipsett from Horror Queers Podcast wrote, "Boyle's incredible visuals are complemented by his deep bench of international actors. And while the last act initially feels jarring in tone and subject, on subsequent viewings the foundation for Pinbacker and sun madness is present throughout."

"Sunshine works on every level it strives for. If you come into the film looking for a thrill ride, the chances are good that you will be watching tensely with nothing less than the fate of the world hanging in the balance," said Ed Travis of Hollywood Jesus. Debbie Lynn Elias of Behind The Lens said, "Sunshine simply sizzles."
