Bruce Willis was recently spotted in Los Angeles for the first time in months.

Over the past year, the 70-year-old actor has rarely been seen outside of Instagram photos from his family, with the newest one coming from his wife Emma Hemming, who recently made a heartbreaking confession amid his dementia struggles.

Now, Bruce has finally made a rare appearance outside the confines of his home and in an environment he spent over 30 years creating hit films like Die Hard, which recently stunned fans after they found out an iconic singer was offered the role of John McClane first.

His rare outing comes days after his wife shared an emotional update to Instagram on Father’s Day.

Along with a close up picture of Bruce with one of his daughters, she wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to all the dads living with disability or disease, showing up in the ways they can and to the children who show up for them.”

"What Bruce teaches our girls goes far beyond words. Resilience, unconditional love, and the quiet strength in simply being present," she added.

She continued, “This photo says so much. Love deepens. It adapts. It stays, even when everything else changes. But to be fair to myself, these symbolic days stir up a lot."

Emma went on to admit she was “profoundly sad today,” explaining, “I wish, with every cell in my body, that things could be different for him and lighter for our family.”

“As they say in our FTD community, 'It is what it is.' And while that might sound dismissive, to me, it’s not. It grounds me. It helps me return to the acceptance of what is and not fight this every step of the way like I used to.," she continued.

"Today, let’s celebrate the badass dads, those who are here, and those we carry with us Onward," she concluded.

The Die Hard actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in February of 2023. Since then, his health has declined and his conditions have worsened.

Friend and writer Glenn Gordon Caron previously spoke to The New York Post about Bruce's health, saying, "He's not totally verbal; he used to be a voracious reader - he didn't want anyone to know that - and he's not reading now.”

“All those language skills are no longer available to him, and yet he’s still Bruce,” he added. “When you’re with him you know that he’s Bruce and you’re grateful that he’s there, but the joie de vivre is gone.”

Regardless of his current state, Bruce has left a lasting impression in Hollywood that will never be forgotten. After making his debut in the television series Moonlighting in 1985, he went on to give the next four decades to the industry, lending his talents to hit films like The Sixth Sense, Pulp Fiction and Armageddon.
