Man displaced after fire at Nashville quadraplex
NFD said the fire likely started in the kitchen, but investigators are still working to determine what caused the fire.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man has been displaced after he came home to his apartment on fire, according to the Nashville Fire Department.
NFD responded to reports of a fire at a quadraplex in the 1600 block of 16th Avenue North at around 8 p.m. on Friday. When they got on scene, they found fire coming from one of the units at the complex.
The owner told fire officials he went to the grocery store, and when he returned home, there was a fire inside his apartment.
NFD personnel on scene told WSMV the fire was in the third unit of the quadraplex, and that unit is believed to be a total loss due to damage it sustained in the fire.

The unit behind the apartment that caught fire has some smoke damage. The other two units only sustained minimal damage, and fire officials think the residents in those units will able to stay in their homes.
NFD said the fire likely started in the kitchen, but investigators are still working to determine what caused the fire.
The American Red Cross will be assisting the displaced unit’s resident.
No injuries were reported in this incident.
